Otolaryngology ENT Neurotology Physician (MD/DO)

About the role

This faculty role focuses on clinical excellence and research innovation in Neurotology, with a 50:50 split between patient care and research activities. It is a tenure-track position at an academic institution emphasizing research, teaching, and clinical service, with success expected in obtaining extramural funding.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage complex otologic and skull base disorders, including hearing loss, vestibular issues, and tumors.
• Develop expertise in cochlear implantation and outcomes research.
• Contribute to ongoing research initiatives and secure extramural funding to support research efforts.
• Teach and mentor residents, fellows, and students.
• Participate in multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree.
• Board‑certified in Otolaryngology/Head & Neck Surgery.
• Fellowship in Neurotology.
• Eligible for medical licensure in North Carolina.
• Experience in cochlear implants and outcomes research is preferred.
