Sacramento Ear, Nose & Throat (SacENT), established in 1957, is a private specialty practice whose award-winning physicians are nationally recognized leaders in their fields. The mission of SacENT’s physicians and staff is to provide the highest standard of state-of-the-art specialty medical care in a personal, compassionate manner. This entry-level Oto Tech (Otolaryngology Technician) position offers thorough training and is ideal for gaining medical experience in a fast-paced clinic environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic audiologic and immittance testing under the supervision of Ear, Nose, and Throat physicians in a medical clinic setting.
• Operate and maintain audiometric and immittance testing equipment (hands-on training provided after hire).
• Coordinate patient care with team members and other departments.
• Travel to and work at various office locations based on staffing needs and schedule.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree (minimum); Bachelor’s degree preferred, especially in Communication Sciences & Disorders.
• Skill in performing tasks required for audiologic testing and appropriate use of instruments and equipment.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and therapeutic behavior skills.
• Clear written and spoken communication, with appropriate grammar and writing skills.
• Effective time management, good judgment, and decision-making abilities.
• Knowledge of healthcare field, medical specialty, and current aseptic and sterile techniques.
• Ability to learn and retain patient care procedures, project a professional image, and demonstrate compassion in dealing with others.
• Ability to assess, plan, prioritize, and complete delegated tasks.
