OTD Education Specialist – UW Organ and Tissue Donation (OTD)

About the role

This impactful role centralizes and elevates training to strengthen staff performance, ensure regulatory compliance, build staff competency, and maximize life-saving organ donation outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver engaging training and competency programs (in-person, virtual, e-learning, simulation, etc.) for organ donation professionals
• Lead new-hire onboarding, orientation, and competency assessments
• Manage effective Learning Management Systems (LMS) to provide education and track training compliance
• Translate regulatory changes into clear, targeted education plans
• Support quality improvement and cross-team knowledge sharing

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Education, Healthcare Administration, or related field
• Master's Degree in Education or related field (Preferred)
• 2 years of relevant experience in training coordination, education program development, or compliance in a healthcare setting

Schedule

Work Schedule: 100 FTE%, day shift. 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday 8:30AM – 5:00PM. This is a hybrid position and you will be working a minimum of 2-3 days per week in office. When onsite, you will work at 448 Science Drive Suite 250 in Madison, WI. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.
