Osteopathic Sports Medicine Faculty Opportunity

About the role

The Carilion Clinic–Virginia Tech Carilion Family Medicine Residency Program seeks an osteopathic sports medicine physician to join our collaborative academic faculty. This is an excellent opportunity to teach, mentor, lead osteopathic education, and continue developing a sports medicine practice.

Responsibilities

• See continuity patients
• Precept and coach residents
• Assist with curriculum development and oversight
• Teach and mentor residents and medical students
• Provide leadership in osteopathic education and curriculum development
• Hospital inpatient attending opportunity available (optional)

Requirements

• Board Certified in Family Medicine (ABMS or AOA)
• Eligible for unrestricted Virginia medical licensure
• Sports Medicine fellowship training and/or CAQ required
• Five years of clinical experience and teaching experience preferred

Pay

• Salary range: $220,000–$350,000 annually
• Eligible to participate in Tier 1 and Tier 2 bonus compensation programs
• Historical averages of Tier 1 and Tier 2 bonus earnings are included in the maximum salary
• The posted salary range may not reflect the full value of the total compensation package
