OSP Field Inspector

About the role

Support a national telecommunication construction contractor’s project team by performing field inspections. The role requires exceptional organizational skills, the ability to multitask with multiple team members, and effective communication in an outdoor setting.

Responsibilities

• Make site visits and inspect all aspects of the project daily.
• Report all deficiencies back to the Project Manager.
• Create redlines and punch lists daily.
• Provide organizational support to project and field managers as necessary.
• Respond to requests for information from internal and external sources.
• Ensure contractors are working safely and that work meets the highest safety and quality standards.
• Walk pole and trench lines to inspect CATV/Telephony line construction work, including removing hand-hole covers to complete inspections.
• Maintain diligent notes, transfer them to daily reports, and mark up prints.

Requirements

• Proficiency in print reading, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Apple iPad.
• Willingness to perform outdoor field inspections and physical tasks such as walking inspection routes.
• Valid Driver’s License (preferred).

$20.00 - $25.00 per hour
