OSP Field Engineer

Position Overview

Cyient Inc. is seeking an Outside Plant (OSP) Field Engineer to work in New Hampshire, Vermont, and Maine states. The role involves OSP FTTP fiber work orders, BAU work, pole fielding, HiCap, etc.

Responsibilities

• Design and construct Outside Plant Copper and Fiber Optic Cable (UG, Aerial, Buried) and manhole/conduit design
• Survey, confirm, and assess current field conditions
• Meet with customers regarding ongoing OSP designs
• Travel to multiple work locations daily
• Manage workload and work schedule independently
• Communicate daily progress status to all reporting managers & stakeholders

Requirements

• High school diploma/equivalent or higher education
• Field experience in BAU, FTTP, HiCap, etc.
• Strong understanding of design and construction of Outside Plant Copper and Fiber Optic Cable (UG, Aerial, Buried) and manhole/conduit design
• Good understanding of basic computer concepts and technology
• Experience with Microsoft Office
• Knowledge of Fiber backbone (F1) and distribution networks (F2) (advantage)
• Proactive and self-learner
• Strong professional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good attitude and ability to work independently and as a team member
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks
