Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop outside plant (OSP) network infrastructure including fiber optic, copper, and coaxial cables.
- Perform field surveys, site walks, and feasibility assessments to identify the best routing for network deployments.
- Create and review engineering plans, CAD drawings, and technical specifications.
- Manage construction schedules, budgets, and compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with project managers, vendors, and contractors to ensure project milestones are met.
- Conduct quality checks and ensure that all OSP installations meet company and client standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in OSP engineering with Lumen, CenturyLink, or BrightSpeed.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, GIS, and other OSP design software.
- Strong understanding of permitting, right-of-way, and utility coordination processes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
