About the Practice

BayCare Clinic Eye Specialists is a team of dedicated Ophthalmologists and Optometrists serving the ophthalmic needs of Northeastern Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. We offer more specialty services than any other provider in northeastern Wisconsin and are the largest Ophthalmology practice north of Milwaukee, with five locations. Our highly trained, collaborative team includes cornea, glaucoma, retina, pediatric, and oculoplastic specialists.

BayCare Clinic is a physician-owned group comprising 20+ specialties, with joint ownership in Aurora BayCare Medical Center, a 167-bed hospital in Green Bay, WI, providing a built-in referral base. Each specialty practice operates with clinical autonomy and financial stability.

Schedule

Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM. No holidays or weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under the supervision of an ophthalmologist, addressing age-specific needs.
• Conduct clinical evaluations of infant, pediatric, and adult patients with amblyopia, strabismus, and ocular motor dysfunction.
• Obtain and document patient medical history and case details.
• Make recommendations to ophthalmologists regarding amblyopia therapy.
• Monitor and modify treatment regimens for infants and children undergoing occlusion treatment to achieve goals.
• Educate patients and family members about treatment plans.
• Perform retinoscopy.
• Interact with staff and coworkers to promote positive working relationships.
• Deliver quality care in a compassionate, patient-centered environment.
• Perform additional duties as needed to meet organizational needs.
• Maintain confidentiality and work in a safe, compliant, and ethical manner.

Requirements

• Completion of a four-year bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience.
• Graduation from an accredited orthoptist program.
• Maintenance of AOC credentials with continuing education preferred.
