About the role

The Nursing Assistant is responsible for performing direct and indirect patient care tasks as delegated by the Registered Nurse, functioning under their direction and supervision. The primary responsibility is to provide basic patient care, supporting patient safety and satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic patient care, including bathing and hygiene
• Assist with elimination and toileting needs
• Support nutrition through feeding and hydration
• Assist with ambulation and positioning
• Perform regular patient rounds on the nursing unit
• Effectively communicate with all team members

Requirements

• Less than 1 year of applicable experience
• Basic Life Support certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross)
