Work exclusively at a Level II trauma center with access to a nationally recognized Ambulatory Surgery Center for outpatient procedures.
About the role
Join a 3-person team of Orthopedic Traumatologists supported by one APC, with plans to add a second APC. Cover trauma clinic, OR, and call with a resident team—first call is resident, then attending. Cases include orthopedic trauma, MVAs, pediatric and geriatric fractures, periarticular fractures, pelvis/acetabular trauma, and non-unions. Revision arthroplasty is not required. The position involves an expansive referral network spanning three counties and over 300,000 people.
Schedule
- Ten 24-hour shifts per month with flexible scheduling
Responsibilities
- Provide trauma coverage, including clinic, OR, and call
- Teach and mentor Orthopedic Residents and Medical Students as part of the hospital’s residency training program
- Collaborate with seasoned orthopedic traumatologists and residents
- Demonstrate commitment to leadership, teaching, research, and mentoring
Requirements
- Board Certified/Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery
- Fellowship training in Orthopedic Trauma
- Excellent clinical and communication skills
- Strong commitment to team-oriented, high-quality care
- Eligibility to work in the United States
Previous experience preferred but not required.
