Orthopedic Surgeon - Locum Tenens Coverage

Role: Physician specializing in inpatient and outpatient care, providing call coverage during 4 pm - 7 am shifts. Responsibilities: Manage approximately 2 patient consultations and 2 admissions per 24-hour shift, handle ~6 phone consultations, and perform procedures such as hip, hand, and tendon repair/release. Involves both inpatient and outpatient call coverage. Qualifications and Skills: Experience in relevant procedures, ability to manage inpatient/outpatient cases, and strong communication skills for phone consults. Key Duties: Provide high-quality care, perform specified procedures, and manage patient admissions and consultations efficiently. Assignment details are managed via an online portal, with support from a dedicated healthcare consultant. Compensation & Benefits: Hourly rates from $200.00 to $240.00, including base pay, overtime, call, and holiday pay. Paid malpractice insurance, pre-paid travel and housing expenses, and 24-hour consultant access are provided.
