Orthopedic Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner
About the role
If you've been waiting for a role that actually respects what you can do, this is it — practice at the top of your license by running independent clinics, making real clinical decisions, and delivering care to a patient population that has almost no one else in their corner.
Responsibilities
- Running independent clinics — your patients, your assessments, your treatment plans
- Comprehensive MSK care across a wide range of injuries and conditions: fractures, dislocations, joint pathology, soft tissue repair, post‑op management, and more
- Procedures — aspirations and injections, closed reductions, compartment pressure measurements, digital blocks, regional anesthesia, minor outpatient surgery (tendon repair, wound closure, I&D, percutaneous pinning, hardware removal) OR assist — first assist, wound closure, internal device application, and procedures delegated by the supervising surgeon
- Hospital‑side coverage — rounds, orders, ED consults, and floor evaluations
- Diagnostic interpretation — labs, EMG, EKG, X‑ray, CT, MRI, ultrasound, bone scan, arthrogram
- Casting, splinting, bracing — applied correctly, the first time
Requirements
You have orthopedic APP experience — clinical, surgical, or both. You want to be trusted with hard cases, complex patients, and real responsibility. You practice like an owner — you assess, decide, act, and know when to loop in the surgeon. You are mission‑aligned, comfortable serving Medicaid, Medicare, or uninsured patients, and you thrive in a high‑volume, varied environment across 16 Chicagoland clinics.
Benefits
- Paid time off (PTO)
- Healthcare coverage
- 401(k) plan
- Real clinical support — you won’t be doing this alone
