Orthopedic Hand and Upper Extremity Surgeon

About the role

We are seeking a fellowship-trained, board-certified or eligible Orthopedic Hand and Upper Extremity Surgeon to join a collaborative healthcare team. The role involves diagnosing and managing a wide range of upper extremity conditions, performing advanced surgical procedures such as microsurgery, nerve repair, fracture fixation, and arthroscopy, as well as providing non-surgical treatment and rehabilitation planning.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and manage upper extremity conditions
  • Perform advanced surgical procedures (microsurgery, nerve repair, fracture fixation, arthroscopy)
  • Provide non-surgical treatment and rehabilitation planning
  • Participate in orthopedic call coverage
  • Maintain thorough documentation in electronic health records
  • Engage in quality improvement initiatives, team meetings, and continuing education
  • Optional opportunities for clinical teaching or research

Qualifications

  • MD or DO degree
  • Completion of an ACGME-accredited residency
  • Fellowship training in Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery
  • Board certification or eligibility in Orthopedic Surgery
  • Expertise in surgical and non-surgical management of trauma, arthritis, and nerve compression
  • Proficiency in microsurgical techniques
  • Strong interpersonal skills
