About the role
We are seeking a fellowship-trained, board-certified or eligible Orthopedic Hand and Upper Extremity Surgeon to join a collaborative healthcare team. The role involves diagnosing and managing a wide range of upper extremity conditions, performing advanced surgical procedures such as microsurgery, nerve repair, fracture fixation, and arthroscopy, as well as providing non-surgical treatment and rehabilitation planning.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and manage upper extremity conditions
- Perform advanced surgical procedures (microsurgery, nerve repair, fracture fixation, arthroscopy)
- Provide non-surgical treatment and rehabilitation planning
- Participate in orthopedic call coverage
- Maintain thorough documentation in electronic health records
- Engage in quality improvement initiatives, team meetings, and continuing education
- Optional opportunities for clinical teaching or research
Qualifications
- MD or DO degree
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited residency
- Fellowship training in Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery
- Board certification or eligibility in Orthopedic Surgery
- Expertise in surgical and non-surgical management of trauma, arthritis, and nerve compression
- Proficiency in microsurgical techniques
- Strong interpersonal skills
