About the role

The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Associate or Full Professor position in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Expertise is required in the specific area of Sports Medicine. The faculty appointment will be in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery.

Responsibilities

• Teaching responsibilities may include clinical and didactic instruction of medical students, fellows, and orthopedic surgery residents.
• Clinical responsibilities may include building a practice in sports medicine at Presbyterian Medical Center with additional duties in orthopedic surgery depending on candidate training and may include on call responsibilities.

Requirements

• Expertise in Sports Medicine.
• M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. degree.
• Certification by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery or eligibility for such certification.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited sports medicine fellowship (preferred).
