About the role
The Orthopaedic Surgery Faculty position involves joining a division of Sports Medicine or Shoulder Surgery, performing nearly 1500 surgeries per year, and collaborating with Creighton University School of Medicine to establish a residency program.
Responsibilities
- Report to the CHI Health Chair of Orthopaedic Surgery
- Provide clinic and academic excellence
- Conduct research in collaboration with scientists within CommonSpirit and Creighton University School of Medicine
- Teach medical students and undergraduates in a rich teaching environment
- Have clinical experience in Movement Injury pathology with a focus on Sports surgery
- Have a strong academic interest with a desire to educate and participate in research
Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution
- Board certification or eligibility in Orthopaedic Surgery
- Active or eligible license in the state of Nebraska
- Strong clinical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with children, families, and healthcare professionals
- Able to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate care to adults and families
Qualifications
- Board certified or eligible in Orthopaedic Surgery
- Experience in Sports Medicine or Shoulder Surgery
