About the role

The Orthopaedic Surgery Faculty position is available at CHI Health Clinic in Omaha, Nebraska. This role is part of a division of Sports Medicine or Shoulder Surgery, with a commitment to high-quality outcomes and a focus on sports surgery.

Responsibilities

• Report to the CHI Health Chair of Orthopaedic Surgery
• Collaborate with Creighton University School of Medicine to establish a residency program
• Conduct research in collaboration with scientists within CommonSpirit and Creighton University School of Medicine
• Provide clinic and academic excellence
• Teach medical students and undergraduates in a rich teaching environment
• Have clinical experience in movement injury pathology with a focus on sports surgery
• Have a strong academic interest with a desire to educate and participate in research

Requirements

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution
• Board certification or eligibility in Orthopaedic Surgery
• Active or eligible license in the state of Nebraska
• Strong clinical skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with children, families, and healthcare professionals
• Able to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
• Commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate care to adults and families
