About the role
We are seeking an experienced Orthodontic Dental Assistant to join a dedicated orthodontic team.
Responsibilities
- Making patients comfortable and preparing them for treatment
- Recording and reviewing dental histories
- Preparing treatment rooms and tray setups
- Sterilizing and disinfecting instruments
- Assisting with banding, bonding, and adjustments
- Preparing materials for impressions
- Supporting Orthodontist during examinations and procedures
- Exposing and processing dental radiographs
- Educating patients on postoperative and oral health care
- Contributing to patient satisfaction and office goals
- Ensuring compliance with safety and OSHA guidelines
- Performing approved dental assisting functions
- Actively participating in team efforts to deliver excellent patient care
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years orthodontic assisting experience
- Certification from a Dental Assisting Program
- X-Ray and CPR licenses
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to travel between locations
Qualifications
- Bilingual in English/Spanish (preferred)
- Experience with Eaglesoft Patterson Software (preferred)
