About the role
RI Children’s Dentistry is seeking a skilled and compassionate Orthodontic Assistant to join our well-established pediatric and orthodontic team.
Responsibilities
- Assist the orthodontist during clinical procedures and patient appointments
- Prepare and break down treatment rooms and sterilize instruments
- Take orthodontic records including photos, X-rays, and impressions as needed
- Educate patients and parents on oral hygiene and appliance care
- Ensure children feel comfortable, supported, and at ease throughout their visit
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management
Requirements
- Previous orthodontic or dental assisting experience preferred
- Experience working with children is a plus
- Strong communication and patient care skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Positive attitude, patience, and team-focused mindset
