Cumberland Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics has an immediate opportunity available for an Orthodontic Dental Assistant. We are seeking a skilled Orthodontic Dental Assistant to join our team in a pediatric, child-friendly environment. Responsibilities

• Review all hygiene patient charts including: reason and necessity of visit, medical history, and x-ray requirement
• Verify patient information with parent or guardian, according to HIPAA privacy standards
• Verify the patient has consent for treatment from parent or guardian
• Advise parent or guardian what to expect in the visit and address any concerns
• Chart all existing/missing teeth, existing restorations, and/or dental procedures
• Obtain all x-rays necessary in the best quality possible
• Maintain accurate clinical notes of each visit
• Clean and sterilize all instruments following OSHA and company standards, including: scrubbing instruments, packing the instruments, and processing them through the statim or autoclave sterilizer
• Maintain Dental Assisting License in good standing and complete the CE Credits required by state

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• TN RDA License required
• Current CPR Healthcare Provider Certification (Preferred)
