Job Summary
As an Ortho Tech at DMOS working in West Des Moines, you'll help our patients get back to living by gathering basic information to efficiently support the Physician during a patient's appointment. Every day you will work alongside our Physicians and fellow clinical team members to create a comfortable patient experience, ensuring everyone gets seen in a timely fashion.
Responsibilities
- Greet and prepare patients for their Orthopaedic appointment
- Assist with casting, cast removal, and wound care
- Work alongside physicians and fellow clinical team members
- Ensure a comfortable patient experience
- Work 5 days a week (Monday-Friday), 40 hours per week, with 1 Saturday shift (8AM-12PM) every 6-8 weeks
Qualifications
- A passion for patient care and orthopaedic field
- Communication skills: clear and professional, good listener, avoids interrupting
- Calmness: ability to provide reassurance to nervous patients
- Independence: able to focus and ask for help when needed
