Ortho Neuro Nurse

About the Role

As an Ortho Neuro Registered Nurse (RN), you will deliver compassionate, high-quality care that impacts patients' well-being and recovery. You will provide individualized, comprehensive care, including critical assessments, skilled procedures, and meticulous implementation of patient care plans. Collaboration within an interdisciplinary team is essential to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Key aspects of the role include:

• Comforting patients who are nervous or confused after surgery to help them feel safe and relaxed for healing.
• Managing fast-paced work while paying close attention to details across 30 beds in the unit.
• Welcoming new patients and ensuring they receive necessary medication to manage postoperative pain.
• Confidently informing families and patients about home care and hospital stay protocols.
• Working alongside a dedicated team of nurses who prioritize patient well-being.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (required upon hire).
• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Arkansas (required upon hire).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) - CPR certification (within 30 days of hire).
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (within 12 months of hire).
• 6 months of acute care experience (new graduates or nurses without acute care experience are hired through our residency training program).

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous ortho/neuro experience.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
