ORPHANAGE CARE VOLUNTEERING

About the Role

Dream Africa Care Foundation invites you to volunteer in any of our over-crowded and understaffed orphanages in Ghana. Your presence can make a difference in the lives of children who have been forced into difficult circumstances due to extreme poverty, neglect, and abuse.

This project aims to provide an opportunity for needy children and orphans to live and learn under one roof until they are adopted, integrated into the community, or placed with family members who can better care for them. The initiative has tremendously improved the lives of children in Ghana by offering support, care, and a sense of family.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the day-to-day running of the orphanage, ensuring children are fed, washed, and dressed.
• Provide personal attention and emotional support to the children.
• Help educate children in personal hygiene and social skills.
• Engage children in activities such as art, crafts, music, sports, and games.
• Contribute to the children’s basic education and foundational learning.
• Utilize any personal talents or interests to enrich the children’s experiences.

Requirements

• No previous experience is required.
• Compassion for fellow human beings and a desire to improve the lives of those less fortunate.
• Willingness to work in challenging conditions and persevere through the strength and resilience of the children.
