About the role

The position involves teaching Organic Chemistry I and II with labs (7 contact hours/week) for upper-level science students beginning August 2026.

Responsibilities

  • Teach Organic Chemistry I and II with labs (7 contact hours/week)
  • Teach Organic Chemistry I in the Fall semester
  • Teach Organic Chemistry II and lab in the Spring semester
  • Teach as part of a required course sequence for the biology and chemistry programs

Requirements

  • A master's degree or a doctorate in chemistry or a related science area
  • Candidates who are ABD will be considered
  • Teaching face-to-face on the Clarke University campus in Dubuque, IA

Qualifications

  • Strong background in organic chemistry
  • Experience teaching organic chemistry at the college level
  • Ability to work effectively with students and colleagues
