Order Selector

About the role

We are seeking an Order Selector to join our Distribution Center team. In this entry-level position, you will efficiently handle merchandise flow throughout the distribution center in an accurate, productive, and safe manner.

Responsibilities

• Pick products per pick ticket requirements, maintaining accuracy, cleanliness, and 5S practices while meeting pick rate requirements.
• Pick orders from the carousel, main, flow racks/pick module, and other areas as necessary using an RF scanner.
• Operate Crown forklift stock pickers and reach lifts as primary picking equipment.
• Read orders for shipping information, special instructions, product location, and quantity accurately.
• Perform cycle counting and inventory control.
• Work overtime as needed and in other areas as necessary.
• Other duties as assigned by your supervisor.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Forklift experience is a plus, but we will provide training.
• Computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Word, Excel) and AS400 knowledge.
• Ability to repetitively lift up to 50 lbs.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to read, perform basic mathematics, and understand and respond to written and verbal instructions in English for safety, work instructions, and policies.

Working Conditions

This role is primarily indoors in a warehouse environment with limited heating or air conditioning. The warehouse temperature may match outside temperatures. Approximately 100% of the time is spent in this environment.

• Occasionally work near moving mechanical parts and may be exposed to the risk of electric shock.
• Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Physical Demands

• Seldom lift from overhead or below the waist.
• Occasionally bend, twist, push, pull, climb, squat, crawl, or kneel.
• Frequently reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stand and walk; grasp with hands and fingers; and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Continuously sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, and key (e.g., computer, calculator, telephone).

Machines, Tools, and Equipment

• Frequently use copier, fax, and 10-key calculator.
• Continuously use writing instruments, computer, and telephone.
• Continuously operate stand-up reach, propane sit-down, and picking lift forklifts.
