About the role
The Order Planner role is located onsite in Shelby, OH, USA. This position is responsible for planning and coordinating the distribution and shipping of product to customers in an efficient and cost-effective manner, while meeting or exceeding customer expectations. Key responsibilities include releasing customer orders, planning shipments, tracking on-time shipment and fill rates, preparing metric reports, creating countermeasures, managing backorders, liaising with the MTD sales team and operations for order information and part availability, providing feedback to customers on part shipments and order status/tracking, consolidating shipments, and performing daily 6S activities.
Responsibilities
- Release customer orders
- Plan shipments based upon order due dates and customer expectations
- Track on-time shipment and fill rate performance on customer orders
- Create metric reports to show performance vs. goals and report out to management
- Create countermeasures to address areas preventing goal achievement
- Manage backorders to ensure timely shipment
- Liaison between the MTD sales team and Operations for order information and part availability
- Provide feedback to customers on part shipments and order status/tracking
- Consolidate shipments when available to reduce freight costs
- Perform daily 6S activities, such as housekeeping, maintaining an organized and safe work area, and any appropriate paperwork/check sheets
- Other duties or special projects as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) or equivalent from a four-year college; or one or more years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience

Pay
$45,700.00 - $73,600.00 annually
