Order Picker General Warehouse M & V Provisions

M&V Provisions is seeking a dependable and hardworking Order Picker/Selector to join our warehouse team in Ridgewood, Queens, just two blocks from the Jefferson Avenue subway station.

About the role

In this position you will help ensure customer orders are accurately selected, prepared, and ready for delivery. The work is physically active, taking place in refrigerated and freezer warehouse areas, and requires standing, walking, lifting, and moving throughout the shift.

Responsibilities

• Pick customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Restock products and organize warehouse inventory.
• Prepare orders for shipment and delivery.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area.
• Work closely with the warehouse team to meet daily productivity goals.

Requirements

• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull 50–75 pounds regularly.
• Comfortable working in refrigerated and freezer environments for extended periods.
• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, reach, and twist throughout the shift.
• Fast‑paced warehouse experience while maintaining accuracy.
• Ability to accurately pick and prepare orders using invoices, pick sheets, or handheld devices.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to order accuracy.
• Reliable transportation and ability to report consistently for a 3:30 AM start.
• Dependable, punctual, with a strong attendance record.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Safe operation of pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment (experience preferred but not required).
• Warehouse, order‑selecting, food‑distribution, or inventory experience preferred but not required.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Schedule

• Monday – Thursday: 3:30 AM – 1:00 PM
• Friday: 3:30 AM – 12:00 PM
• All shifts conclude no later than 1:00 PM (Monday‑Thursday) or noon (Friday), allowing afternoons off.
• Scheduled coffee and lunch breaks.

Pay

• $19.00 per hour base wage.
• Overtime: $28.50 per hour.
• Shift differential: $11.25 per hour for hours worked before 4:00 AM.
• Weekly performance bonus based on speed and accuracy (top performers receive $125, $95, or $65).
