About the Role
The Order Picker supports the Order Fulfillment Manager in all aspects of the customer order process within a retail branch location. This role involves fulfilling customer orders by accurately picking, consolidating, slotting, and completing all functions related to order fulfillment in alignment with sales, order fulfillment, inventory, and merchandising team goals.
Responsibilities
- Pick, consolidate, and slot customer orders accurately and efficiently using pallet jacks, carts, and/or powered equipment.
- Complete all order fulfillment tasks in alignment with branch operational goals.
- Meet or exceed company-defined efficiency and accuracy metrics.
- Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe order fulfillment area.
- Communicate discrepancies, order status, or issues effectively with the Order Fulfillment Manager.
- Perform additional tasks and support initiatives as assigned by management to ensure smooth location operations and alignment with overall business goals.
Physical Requirements
- Work is performed while standing and/or walking, up to and including 9 hours/day.
- Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing.
- Requires the regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
- Requires regular bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching.
- Requires the ability to regularly lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications
This role does not require a degree. Relevant skills and experience, along with alignment with core values, are prioritized.
Skills
- Proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and experience with CRM systems and project management tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain technical and complex concepts clearly and concisely.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to quickly adapt as business needs change; ability to address difficult situations with diplomacy and emotional intelligence.
- Service leadership approach with a demonstrated desire to exceed expectations.
