Order Entry Pharmacy Technician

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic Order Entry Pharmacy Technician to join our team and make a difference in the lives of residents in long-term care facilities. In this role, you'll play a crucial part in our pharmacy operations by swiftly and accurately entering prescriptions into our Remedi SeniorCare Framework/DocuTrack pharmacy system. You'll also communicate with customers over the phone, providing quick and courteous responses to their needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide phone support to doctors and nurses
• Perform efficient order entry and follow-up
• Troubleshoot prescription/patient data entry discrepancies
• Ensure accurate and timely prescription/patient information input
• Collaborate with Order Entry leadership to meet department goals
• Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders
• Work with urgency and timeliness under the guidance of a pharmacist and in compliance with State law

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required
• Current registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the State Board of Pharmacy required
• Minimum of two (2) years working in a long-term care pharmacy preferred but not required

Skills & Abilities

• Order entry experience
• Strong computer skills
• Thorough understanding of medical terminology and drug knowledge
• Math and analytical skills, with a focus on calculations

Pay

$18 - $20 per hour (dependent upon experience)

Schedule

Four 10-hour shifts plus every third weekend. Pharmacy hours: 8 AM–8 PM Monday–Friday, 10 AM–6 PM Saturday, and 12 PM–3 PM Sunday. Rotating weekday schedule required.
