Orbital Welder - Weekend Shift

About the role

Ichor Systems is seeking a skilled orbital welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating orbital welding equipment, ensuring precise and efficient welding processes.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic and advanced orbital welding operations under supervision.
• Operate orbital welding equipment safely and efficiently.
• Fit, align, and precisely weld products to meet customer specifications and quality standards.
• Identify and report deviations affecting productivity.
• Keep work areas clean and organized, adhering to safety guidelines.
• Prioritize tasks to meet production schedules and commitments.
• Follow established procedures, blueprints, and product specifications.
• Measure and verify dimensions using inspection tools.
• Document measurements and other relevant data.
• Collaborate with engineering to develop advanced welding processes as needed.
• Maintain departmental standards, including quality and on-time delivery goals.
• Assist team members in maintaining departmental standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Mechanically inclined.
• Visual acuity and manual dexterity.
• Ability to handle fragile products, perform repetitive tasks, and demonstrate safety awareness.
• Mini head experience is a plus.
• Proficiently use all approved hand gauges to inspect component quality.
• Discretion and independent judgment.
• Sit, stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 35 lbs.
• Read and comprehend technical drawings, correspondence, and documents.
• Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, percentages, and decimals.
• Read testing and measuring instruments, record test results, and write related reports.
• Exercise discretion and independent judgment.
