Oral Surgery Dental Assistant

Role Overview

The Dental Assistant provides clinical support to facilitate the relationship between our patients and dentists, increase the efficiency of delivering quality dental care, and maintain communication between dentists, patients, and administrative staff to ensure a positive patient experience. This position is based at South Shore Oral Surgery Associates in Quincy.

Responsibilities

• Greet and prepare patients for treatment
• Provide chairside assistance during a variety of dental procedures
• Expose radiographs and intra‑oral pictures
• Provide post‑operative instructions and patient education
• Prepare, break down, disinfect, and sterilize treatment rooms and instruments
• Maintain strict compliance with infection control, CDC, OSHA, and HIPAA standards
• Maintain dental supply inventory
• Perform other related job duties as assigned
• Demonstrate strong teamwork, adapting to changing provider assignments as practice needs evolve

Skills & Qualifications

• Knowledge of dental procedures and terminology
• C.D.A. preferred
• Possess required certifications, licensure, or registration as required by state
• Strong verbal communication skills
• Embrace a positive team approach to patient care

Pay

Hourly Rate: $20 USD – $30 USD.
