About the role

The Department of Surgery, Division of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, University of New Mexico School of Medicine in Albuquerque is seeking a full-time Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon (OMFS).

Responsibilities

  • Resident education and training.
  • Appointment in the Department of Surgery, Division of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery.
  • Trauma call at UNMH, a Level I trauma center.
  • Aid in the development of the clinical, educational, and research aspects of the program.
  • Play a pivotal role in building an oral and maxillofacial residency program at the University of New Mexico.
  • Participation in cleft lip and palate Craniofacial anomalies team.

Requirements

  • CODA accredited DDS/DMD.
  • Completion of a full-scope oral and maxillofacial surgery residency program.
  • OMS Board Certified or an active candidate for certification.
  • Licensure in New Mexico.

Qualifications

  • A demonstrated commitment to cultivating an understanding of the rich and varied cultures of New Mexico and to the success of the university's mission to serve local and global communities.

Skills

  • Experience working with dental and/or medical residents.
  • Experience in the practice of the full scope oral and maxillofacial surgery.
