Oracle Solutions Architect
This position is hybrid to Los Alamos, NM and requires willingness to work onsite when needed.
About the role
The Oracle Solutions Architect serves as a principal for large and complex hardware, software, database, networking, and/or telecommunication solutions. Determines Laboratory-wide requirements and incorporates these into solutions that may be commercial-off-the-shelf (Oracle P6, PIF, WebLogic) or internally developed software and hardware. May oversee project management, documentation, marketing, training, budget, schedules, resource utilization, and benefits realization for complex solutions projects.
Responsibilities
- Assure safety and security compliance, maintain required training, and integrate safety and security into every task.
- Adhere to policies, programs, procedures, and practices.
- Research, assemble, and evaluate information or data regarding industry practices or regulatory changes affecting telecommunication, data management, security, networking, hardware, software development, and systems programming; recommend solutions to complex issues.
- Lead complex projects requiring in-depth analysis, customer requirements gathering, and cross-discipline solution sets.
- Research solutions for complex problems spanning multiple disciplines, including hardware, software development, systems programming, data management, security, networking, and telecommunications.
- Provide technical leadership and architectural direction for complex systems.
- Integrate strategic thinking into solution formulation to ensure long-term business objectives are met.
- Formally manage projects from inception through implementation, including project management, documentation, and training.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 12 years of related experience (or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree).
- U.S. Citizenship is required per contract.
- Expert knowledge and demonstrated application of current and future network, data management, security, hardware, software development, and systems programming technologies.
- Ability to architect complex solutions and understand enterprise web application delivery.
- Demonstrated excellent written and oral communication, organizational, and project management skills.
- Team-building experience with technologists.
- Expert knowledge in SQL Server and Oracle RDBMS implementation, administration, maintenance, and end-user support.
- Strong knowledge of Oracle WebLogic for web applications.
- Strong knowledge of Oracle Primavera Portfolio Management.
- Expert-level knowledge of Oracle Project Integration Framework (PIF).
- Experience maintaining environments for integration of project controls: estimating, schedules, and costs.
