About the role
The Office of Administration, Information Technology Services Division (ITSD) is seeking an Oracle Solutions Architect to support the Missouri Vital Enterprise Resource System (MOVERS) project. This position will work with a team of dedicated IT professionals to design, implement, and optimize cloud infrastructure solutions on Oracle.
Responsibilities
- Use your skills to design, implement, and optimize cloud infrastructure solutions on Oracle.
- Interact with and support many varied teams and MOVERS leadership in achieving our cloud transformation and technology modernization goals.
- Deliver meaningful impact supporting the entire state workforce and the citizens of Missouri through scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud solutions.
- Advise staff in the adoption of Oracle best practices and cloud-native methodologies.
- Monitor Oracle service updates and maintenance windows, working with other IT and vendor support teams to ensure smooth cloud migrations and minimal impact of infrastructure changes.
- Aid in establishing Oracle core competencies within cross-functional teams, as well as improving cloud development and deployment processes.
- Provide complex technical support and coordination on Oracle security implementations, migration of legacy data, and ensuring stable and highly available architecture.
- Direct interaction and advisement of technical and functional teams within MOVERS on cloud architecture decisions.
Requirements
- Minimum 7 years in IT industry with emphasis in Cloud Architecture and Infrastructure.
- Extensive experience with Oracle services including OIC, ATP, IAM, and Oracle Fusion.
- Experience with ServiceNow, Okta, and M365 or SharePoint is preferable.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Oracle DevOps tooling within OCI (OCI DevOps Services including Code Repositories, Build Pipelines, Deployment Pipelines, and Functions) and Git repository management.
- Must promote best practices for branching/merging, code promotion, and CI/CD processes in OCI-native environments.
- Comprehensive understanding of Oracle cloud migration strategies, Infrastructure as Code using OCI Resource Manager/Terraform, and the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure best practices.
- Experience with a broad array of cloud automation, monitoring, and infrastructure modeling tools.
- Strong analysis, critical thinking, and time management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Ability to mentor a dedicated team and work well with others inside and outside your reporting structure.

The salary indicated represents a base pay rate. If the individual selected or the position is eligible for a pay differential (e.g., shift, security, or years of service), it will be added to the total compensation in your paycheck. A pay differential does not raise your base pay.
