Responsibilities

  • Support mission-critical initiatives and enable the growth of our business as an Oracle Applications Architect at GDIT. Here, you’ll become an integral part of how GDIT is able to ensure the safety and security of our nation.
  • Lead the architecture, design, implementation and optimization of Oracle Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solutions while managing the transition from legacy finance systems.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to analyze and document functional and technical requirements, ensuring alignment with enterprise goals.
  • Design integration frameworks using tools such as Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), APIs (REST/SOAP), and middleware platforms (Fusion Middleware).
  • Manage the configuration, implementation, and optimization of Oracle Financials, Procurement and Supply Chain.
  • Lead migration strategies and data integration efforts between financial systems delivering robust and optimized implementations.
  • Research, analyze and recommend utilities or tools to support and streamline data migration across systems.
  • Develop and manage processes for archiving, tracking, coordinating, and decommissioning legacy systems, ensuring compliance with enterprise and data retention standards.
  • Coordinate with technical teams to phase out legacy applications and migrate relevant capabilities and data into Oracle ERP platforms.
  • Establish governance and quality frameworks for legacy system transitions.
  • Lead the planning, design, and execution of data conversion projects to migrate legacy system data into current financial and operational systems.
  • Identify data mapping, cleansing, and transformation requirements in collaboration with business stakeholders and data owners.
  • Define best practices for ensuring data quality, consistency, and integrity during migration efforts.
  • Oversee the testing, validation and reconciliation of converted data to ensure compliance with business rules and requirements.
  • Work with teams to ensure historical legacy data is archived effectively while ensuring regulatory compliance and business continuity.
  • Act as a subject matter expert (SME) to provide guidance on ERP systems, data conversion methodologies, legacy archiving, and compliance standards.
  • Mentor and guide teams in implementing best practices for ERP deployment and data transformation projects.
  • Partner with business analysts, functional leads, developers, and IT teams to design and deliver integrated solutions.
  • Coordinate cross-functional efforts, ensuring alignment between technical and operational teams throughout multiple project phases.
  • Monitor, review, and optimize the performance of Oracle ERP solutions, legacy systems, and data conversion pipelines.
  • Identify and implement automation opportunities to improve efficiency for data migration and legacy system archiving processes.
  • Troubleshoot system performance issues and recommend enhancements or corrections.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 15+ years of professional experience in Oracle EBS and Oracle ERP Cloud, and enterprise system architecture.
  • Strong expertise with Oracle financials, procurement, supply chain applications, including data migration methodologies and tools.
  • Hands-on experience managing large-scale data conversion or data migration projects, particularly into Oracle ERP platforms.
  • Proficient in Oracle development tools (SQL, PL/SQL), Oracle Analytics (OTBI, BI Publisher), and middleware technologies.
  • Prioritized understanding of data governance, compliance standards and best practices for maintaining data integrity.
  • Exceptional project management skills, including the ability to manage competing priorities and complex multi-stakeholder projects.

Pay

The likely salary range for this position is $164,382 - $200,433. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
