Oracle OCI Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and manage Oracle OCI environments, including database, middleware, and infrastructure components
• Develop and maintain Oracle APEX applications and ORDS services
• Configure and administer Oracle WebLogic Server and related technologies
• Plan and execute database upgrades, migrations, and conversions
• Implement and manage backup, recovery, and replication strategies using RMAN and other tools
• Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and data protection
• Monitor and optimize database performance, implementing tuning recommendations
• Implement and automate routine tasks using shell scripting and tools like Ansible
• Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to ensure seamless application deployment
• Proactively identify and resolve potential issues, providing timely support
• Document and train on best practices for Oracle OCI environment management

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience with Oracle Database administration, including versions 19c and above.
• 10+ years of experience performing Oracle database migrations from Solaris to Linux (Oracle 11g/12c).
• 10+ years of experience with Oracle database backup, recovery, RMAN, and Data Guard.
• 10+ years of experience in Oracle database performance tuning, maintenance, and overall database management.
• 10+ years of experience providing on-call production support for Oracle database environments.
• 7+ years of experience administering Oracle Grid Control (including version 13c) and Oracle WebLogic 12c/Fusion Middleware.
• 5+ years of experience with Oracle APEX administration and support, with additional experience in Oracle Cloud, AWS/Azure administration, and Windows/SQL Server/IIS environments preferred.
