Oracle OCI Cloud engineer
Job Summary
Manage and administer Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) environments, including database, middleware, and infrastructure components. Provide expertise in Oracle Application Express (APEX), Oracle REST Data Services (ORDS), Oracle WebLogic Server, and Oracle Database 19c/26ai. Plan, execute, and document database upgrades, migrations (e.g., from Solaris to Linux), and conversions. Implement and manage database backup, recovery, and replication strategies using RMAN and Oracle Data Guard. Configure and maintain high-availability and disaster recovery solutions for critical systems. Optimize and tune database and application performance; implement best practices for security and maintenance. Administer Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) for monitoring and management. Perform patching and maintenance of Oracle databases and middleware, including after-hours and weekend support as needed. Automate routine tasks using shell scripting, Ansible, and GitLab CI/CD tools. Support and maintain Oracle APEX applications and ORDS services. Collaborate with development, operations, and DevOps teams for seamless application deployment. Participate in on-call rotation, providing 24/7 support and troubleshooting critical production issues. Ensure thorough documentation and knowledge transfer on Oracle OCI environment management. Stay current with emerging cloud, database, and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). Utilize strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills to interact with team members and stakeholders.

Requirements
- Desirable Oracle certifications (OCIP, OCP, OCE)
- Experience with other cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
- Windows/SQL Server/IIS administration
