Oracle OCI Administrator

For our client, we are seeking a Oracle OCI Administrator to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space. This role will focus on administering and optimizing Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server database environments that support critical business operations. The ideal candidate will help ensure high availability, disaster recovery readiness, and strong performance across production and recovery systems. You will also partner with technical teams to automate administrative tasks, improve efficiency, and support reliable database services. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $110,000 – $130,000 annually Responsibilities Design and administer Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server databases in accordance with organizational policies Manage database backup, recovery, and configuration based on logical data models Define data repository requirements and maintain data dictionaries Install, configure, and maintain database environments, including production and disaster recovery systems Optimize database performance and monitor capacity across multiple services Lead technical projects and provide guidance to junior team members Automate administrative tasks to enhance operational efficiency Qualifications BA/BS degree and 6–8 years of relevant experience, or equivalent education and experience Deep expertise in Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server database design and administration Demonstrated ability to lead technical projects and mentor junior staff Familiarity with High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions for Oracle and SQL Server Experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2016/2019/2022 installation and administration Knowledge of performance tuning, indexing, and query optimization for both database environments U.S. citizenship and residency required due to export control regulations Benefits Collaborative work environment with opportunities for individual contribution Access to ongoing training and development resources for skill enhancement Involvement in high-impact technical projects within the organization Exposure to advanced database technologies and solutions Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
