Oracle Golden Gate DBA

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and upgrade Oracle databases 11g, 12c, 19c on Linux, Unix, Windows platforms.
• Perform database backup and recovery using RMAN.
• Implement and manage Oracle Data Guard for disaster recovery.
• Monitor database performance and optimize queries, indexes, and storage.
• Apply patches and security updates to maintain compliance.
• Manage user access, roles, and privileges.
• Troubleshoot database issues and provide root cause analysis.
• Support migration and upgrade projects from on-prem to cloud or version upgrades.
• Work closely with application teams for schema design and performance tuning.

Mandatory Skills

• Oracle Database Administration.
• Strong experience with Oracle 11g, 12c, 19c.
• Oracle GoldenGate and performance tuning experience.
• Backup and Recovery Expertise in RMAN and Oracle Data Pump.
• Performance Tuning, SQL tuning, AWR reports, and optimizer strategies.
• High Availability, Oracle RAC, and Data Guard configuration and management.
• Security: User management, roles, privileges, and encryption.
• Scripting proficiency in Shell scripting for automation.
• OS Knowledge: Linux, Unix administration basics.
• Patching, Upgrades, Applying PSU, CPU patches, and version upgrades.
• Troubleshooting, strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.

Good to Have Skills

• Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure OCI or AWS RDS for Oracle.
• Familiarity with PL/SQL development.
• Exposure to ITIL processes and ticketing tools.
• Experience with GoldenGate for replication.
