Oracle EBS Procurement Functional Architect - Newark, NJ - Hybrid onsite
About the Role
Configure negotiation document types, manage RFQ/custom templates, lead collaboration team setup, and guide suppliers through the response submission workflow.
End-to-end Supplier Qualification Management (SQM): qualification initiative creation, supplier invitation, questionnaire design, scoring, evaluation workflow, and outcome management.
Full Req-to-PO lifecycle across all scenario types: inventory and expense requisitions, auto-create PO, Blanket Releases, Planned POs, and Contract POs.
Deliver the supplier experience end to end in Oracle iSupplier Portal, including architecture, supplier access model, notification configuration, ITP workflow, and access control.
Responsibilities
- Translate confirmed business requirements into precise technical specifications - independently, without requiring developer interpretation.
- Produce Functional Design Documents (FDDs) for all customizations, reports, and integration items in scope.
- Classify each open item as native EBS fitment, a confirmed product limitation, or a customization candidate - with effort sizing.
- Support BI Publisher development: data model design, RTF/XSL template creation, concurrent program linkage, and environment migration.
- Define functional specifications for EBS inbound/outbound interfaces and lead integration test scenario development.
- Participate in nightly and weekly technical syncs; coordinate cross-wave dependencies with the Wave 1 team.
- Manage all open items in JIRA (or equivalent) as tracked Action/Decision items through to closure.
Requirements
- 12+ years of Oracle EBS Procurement Suite delivery - functional and functional-technical combined.
- 3+ full-cycle EBS upgrades or implementations at Lead SME level, covering all five modules.
- 2+ projects with technical bridge accountability: FDD production, BI Publisher, data conversion, or integration.
- Hands-on experience with SQL/PL/SQL for issue investigation, data validation, and report data model support.
- Proven ability to lead CRP and UAT sessions independently with business stakeholders - without escalation dependency.
- Strong communicator who earns business trust, responds authoritatively to gap questions, and drives decisions to closure.
Version Expertise Required
- R12.1.3 - including version-specific limitations, Procurement Contracts data structures (for conversion work), Sourcing and iSupplier behavior differences.
- R12.2.15 - including current UI and functional behavior, ADOP/online patching awareness, OCI environment chain (GOLD $B"*(J DEV $B"*(J SIT $B"*(J TEST $B"*(J UAT $B"*(J PRD), and EBS EXACC connectivity nuances.
