Oracle Database Developer (PL/SQL) - Hybrid

The Enterprise Performance Management - Business Intelligence (EPM/BI) group is looking for a candidate to join its growing Business Intelligence/Data Warehousing team. This role focuses on Oracle Database and PL/SQL development and design.

About the role

You will play a key role in designing and maintaining Oracle Data Warehouses and Business Intelligence application platforms, as well as provide leadership for IT best practices and methods.

Responsibilities

• Design and code PL/SQL procedures
• Actively participate in the development and learning of Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence applications
• Collaborate with business users to understand requirements and execute projects
• Clearly communicate commitments, issues, completion dates, and status with key stakeholders and management
• Play a key role in data modeling and database design
• Maintain availability during core business hours while supporting flexible operational requirements, including extended hours, rotational coverage, weekend monitoring, and occasional deployment support
• Design and build applications following industry standards and best practices

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field and 4+ years of experience, or 8+ years of experience in lieu of a degree
• 4+ years of hands-on experience using Oracle PL/SQL
• Strong knowledge of RDBMS design
• Familiarity with Data Warehouse and BI concepts
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work closely with team members and customers

Schedule

• Scheduled weekly hours: 40
• Hybrid work location: Falls Church, VA, with an expectation to work three (3) days per week in the office or at customer sites as needed

Pay

The likely salary range for this position is $107,744 - $143,750. Salary will be set based on experience, geographic location, and possibly contractual requirements.
