Oracle Database Administrator role based in Gold River, CA.

Responsibilities

  • Design and maintain schemas based on business and application requirements.
  • Support application releases: manage schema changes and data migrations.
  • Troubleshoot SQL performance issues related to application code.
  • Collaborate with developers to optimize SQL queries and procedures.
  • Ensure application/database compatibility during upgrades or new releases.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines for database deployments.
  • Maintain and tune application databases for optimal performance.
  • Support software development lifecycle (SDLC) with schema, scripts, and release management.
  • Ensure database reliability, backup, and security.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application-data related issues.
  • Collaborate actively with developers, architects, and business analysts.
  • Use OEM, AWS CloudWatch, and Performance Insights to monitor performance and availability.
  • Execute and tune database backup/restore and disaster recovery strategies.
  • Diagnose and resolve database-related incidents in production or development environments.
  • Manage database security (user roles, access control, encryption).
  • Support audits, compliance checks, and adhere to regulatory standards.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Oracle DBA, performance tuning, Aurora PostgreSQL, and Aurora MySQL.
  • Knowledge of Delphix Masking and Delphix Virtualization.
  • Proficiency in one or more RDBMS platforms: Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL (AWS Aurora).
  • Understanding of database architecture, schema design, and data modeling.
  • Advanced SQL, including query optimization and performance tuning.
  • Experience with PL/SQL, PG-PSQL, or appropriate procedural languages.
  • Knowledge of indexes, partitions, triggers, and database constraints.
