Oracle Database Administrator role based in Gold River, CA.
Responsibilities
- Design and maintain schemas based on business and application requirements.
- Support application releases: manage schema changes and data migrations.
- Troubleshoot SQL performance issues related to application code.
- Collaborate with developers to optimize SQL queries and procedures.
- Ensure application/database compatibility during upgrades or new releases.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines for database deployments.
- Maintain and tune application databases for optimal performance.
- Support software development lifecycle (SDLC) with schema, scripts, and release management.
- Ensure database reliability, backup, and security.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application-data related issues.
- Collaborate actively with developers, architects, and business analysts.
- Use OEM, AWS CloudWatch, and Performance Insights to monitor performance and availability.
- Execute and tune database backup/restore and disaster recovery strategies.
- Diagnose and resolve database-related incidents in production or development environments.
- Manage database security (user roles, access control, encryption).
- Support audits, compliance checks, and adhere to regulatory standards.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Oracle DBA, performance tuning, Aurora PostgreSQL, and Aurora MySQL.
- Knowledge of Delphix Masking and Delphix Virtualization.
- Proficiency in one or more RDBMS platforms: Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL (AWS Aurora).
- Understanding of database architecture, schema design, and data modeling.
- Advanced SQL, including query optimization and performance tuning.
- Experience with PL/SQL, PG-PSQL, or appropriate procedural languages.
- Knowledge of indexes, partitions, triggers, and database constraints.
