About the role

North Point Technology is looking to hire an Oracle Database Administrator / Architect to support a mission-critical classified federal program. In this role you will keep enterprise Oracle databases secure, highly available, and performing at peak capacity while also contributing architectural decisions that the customer depends on. An active Top Secret/SCI clearance is required.

Responsibilities

  • Administer Oracle Database environments across development, test, and production, handling installation, patching, upgrades, backup and recovery, and performance tuning.
  • Design, build, and maintain Oracle GoldenGate replication to keep data consistent and current.
  • Manage Oracle databases on Exadata, including patching, capacity planning, and performance monitoring.
  • Deploy and operate Oracle databases in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and architect database solutions encompassing data models, high availability, disaster recovery, and capacity plans.
  • Secure databases to government standards through hardening, auditing, and access controls.
  • Maintain thorough documentation including configurations, runbooks, and recovery procedures.

Requirements

  • Oracle Database administration in production environments, including installation, patching, upgrades, backup and recovery, and performance tuning.
  • Oracle GoldenGate replication configuration and support.
  • Oracle Exadata administration, including patching, capacity planning, and performance monitoring.
  • Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) database deployment and management.
  • Database architecture design including data models, high availability, and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Database security hardening, auditing, and access control implementation to government standards.

Qualifications

Active Top Secret/SCI clearance (U.S. citizenship required).

Skills

  • Amazon RDS for PostgreSQL (AWS).
  • Edition-Based Redefinition (EBR) for online application upgrades.
  • Oracle Label Security policy implementation.
