Job Overview

The Operating Room Support Technician is responsible for assisting the Perioperative team in maintaining maximum work levels, upholding policies and procedures to maintain a high level of service and professionalism to ensure CQI.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Knowledge of inventory control techniques
• Proven work record and commitment towards continuing education BLS / Health Care Provider
• Successful completion of site personnel general orientation
• Successful completion of department specific orientation
• Preferred: Certified Aide training program

Essential Functions

Maintain an environment that facilitates safe patient outcomes.
Ensure patient’s physiologic responses to surgery are as expected in the surgical suite and across the perioperative.
In collaboration with the perioperative registered nurse, the surgical technician will function as a member of the team to organize and administer individualized age-specific care to patients.
