OR Supply Coordinator

About the role

The OR Supply Coordinator will be responsible for ordering and receiving supplies while working with a variety of vendor representatives. This person is responsible for ensuring inventory is stocked appropriately available for use. This is a Monday – Friday position with no nights or weekends.

• Ensuring inventory is stocked appropriately available for use
• Working with a variety of vendor representatives

Requirements

• High school diploma required, college degree preferred
• Minimum of one year’s experience in purchasing and inventory in a hospital or ASC setting required
• Surgical technologist experience and knowledge of the OR preferred
• Must be proficient with computer software such as ordering systems, email, and Microsoft Office

Skills and Abilities

• Able to communicate effectively with physicians, vendor reps, management, and other allied health professionals
• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment and possesses the ability to multitask
• Good time management skills and the ability to work independently are necessary

Physical Demands

• Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, reaching, and twisting
• More than 50% standing and walking during shift
• May encounter exposure to biological, environmental, and chemical elements
