OR Staff RN w/call
Job Description Summary
Candidates must have recent previous OR RN experience of at least 1 year or more in an acute care hospital OR. Candidates without this experience must apply to the OR RN residency program, which includes those with previous bedside nursing experience in other areas like Med-Surg, Critical Care, ED, Women's Health.
Responsibilities
- Provides general nursing care to patients and families throughout the continuum of care in diverse, acute health care settings.
- Accountable for the practice of nursing as defined by the Ohio Board of Nursing.
- Delegates nursing tasks to licensed practical nurses (LPNs) and unlicensed assistive personnel (UAPs) using the criteria written in the Ohio Nurse Practice Act.
- According to department policies and nursing care standards, provides professional nursing care services to patients.
- Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care provided to assigned patients.
- Actively participates in process improvement activities to achieve targeted measures of clinical quality, customer satisfaction, and financial performance.
- Focuses on safety, quality, and efficiency in performing job duties as a High Reliability Organization (HRO).
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate's Degree: Nursing (Required)
- BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart Association
- RN - Registered Nurse - Ohio Board of Nursing
Additional Job Description
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate degree (BSN required at 5 years of employment)
- Current Registered Nurse license from the State of Ohio
- BLS certification
