About the role

Offering $10,000 Sign-On Bonus. As a Surgical Technician, CST at MercyOne, your functions in the scrub role during intraoperative patient care, doing so as a delegated technical function under the direct supervision of the perioperative Registered Nurse. The provision of care is consistent through adherence to standards and support of the philosophies of Genesis Medical Center.

Function in the scrub role during intraoperative patient care as a delegated technical function under the direct supervision of the perioperative Registered Nurse. Ensure care is consistent through adherence to standards and support of the philosophies of Genesis Medical Center.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of surgical technology; completion of surgical tech apprenticeship or military program.
• Or graduate of an LPN program with surgical experience; or equivalent experience to demonstrate competency.
• CST certification preferred but not required in Iowa; CST certification required if working in Illinois.
• LPN license required if you are a graduate of an LPN program.
• No prior experience required.
• BLS certification.
• Mandatory Reporter training.
• Ability to work with diverse groups of people.
• Ability to work under pressure and with a large degree of independence and accountability.
• Ability to accept responsibility for the direction, control, or planning of an activity.
• Adaptability to performing a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another without loss of efficiency or composure.
