About the role

The Circulating (OR) Registered Nurse at Ortho Rhode Island is responsible for providing comprehensive patient care from admission to discharge. This position requires adherence to OrthoRI's policies and procedures, as well as the ability to manage emergencies and coordinate care effectively.

Responsibilities

• Delivers safe patient care according to OrthoRI policy and procedure.
• Affirms patient outcomes through implementation of critical pathways and nursing process.
• Coordinates nursing interventions to enhance discharge outcomes.
• Demonstrates ability to direct and provide care in emergency situations.
• Utilizes specialized nursing knowledge and discriminative judgment.
• Assigns patient care responsibilities based on patient needs and staff capabilities.
• Cleans equipment and operating room/procedure room according to procedure.
• Checks inventory and notifies staff when stock is low.
• Attends and participates in facility training and development workshops.
• Ensures safe operation of equipment and reports and corrects unsafe situations.
• Completes nursing documentation on each operative procedure.

Qualifications

• Current RI State Licensure.
• BLS required.
• ACLS preferred.
• At least one year OR experience.
