About the role
Northwest Orthopaedic Specialists is seeking an OR Registered Nurse to support its growing Ambulatory Surgery Center.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care in accordance with company policies and ASC standards while utilizing the nursing process and evidenced-based practice.
- Erect independent judgment in care of assigned patients, ensuring that errors in judgment may result in serious consequences.
- Accept responsibility for the welfare of assigned patients, especially in critical and life-threatening conditions.
- Utilize the nursing process in providing care to promote a positive and uneventful perioperative experience.
- Recognize the need for and perform appropriate emergency life-saving measures when applicable.
- Maintain a patient-centered mentality and confidentiality of patient information at all times.
- Observe patients, record significant conditions and reactions, and notify supervisor or physician of patient's condition and relation to drugs, treatments, and other significant incidents.
- Provide physical safety for the patient per department-specific competencies and procedures.
- Monitor, evaluate, and adjust patient care according to patient responses.
- Participate in a collaborative effort with other nursing/medical staff to structure patient care.
- Plan nursing interventions based on individual patient needs, surgical procedures, and standard plans of care.
- Maintain knowledge regarding own responsibilities in the ASC Disaster Plan and assist with the direction of staff and patients to function according to the plan.
Requirements
- Associates Degree in Nursing (or higher) required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
- Valid WA Registered Nurses license.
Qualifications
- Experience in an ambulatory surgery center setting preferred.
- Knowledge of anesthesia and perioperative care.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Pay
$40.00 to $68.68 per hour.
Schedule
Day shift. No nights, no weekends, or on-call shifts.
