BJC HealthCare System is hiring a Full-Time Radiology Technologist for the location will be at the Center for Advanced Medicine position NEW Sunset Hills CAM location (3630 South Geyer Rd. Position Details

  • Day Shift Hours: 4- 10s, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday (6:30am-5pm) – Wednesdays off
  • NO Weekends, Holidays, or Call!!!
  • Operating c-arm for Orthopedic OR surgeries and procedures
  • Portable imaging
  • Manages dosimeters and lead
  • Participates in all OR turnovers, pre/post room turnover
  • New Opening Location (November 2026): Center for Advanced Medicine – Sunset Hills - Address: 3630 South Geyer Rd., Suite 110, Sunset Hills, MO 63127
  • Training Location: South County CAM & other outpatient facilities prior to opening - Training Address: 5201 Mid America Plaza, St. Louis, MO 63129

Requirements

  • Associate degree or higher in related field
  • Certification / Registered Technologist in Radiography - R.T.(R)

Overview

Barnes-Jewish Hospital at Washington University Medical Center is the largest hospital in Missouri and is ranked as one of the nation's top hospitals by U.S. News & World Report. Barnes-Jewish Hospital's staff is composed of full-time academic faculty and community physicians of Washington University School of Medicine, supported by a house staff of residents, interns, fellows and other medical professionals. Recognizing its excellence in nursing care, Barnes-Jewish Hospital was the first adult hospital in Missouri to be certified as a Magnet Hospital by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. The Center for Advanced Medicine - South County is a new outpatient facility, jointly owned by Washington University School of Medicine and Barnes-Jewish Hospital, that is under construction in South St. Louis County. The building, scheduled to open in late spring 2016, is located near the Siteman Cancer Center at I-55 and Butler Hill Rd. This new, two-story, approximately 84,500 square foot outpatient facility will include outpatient surgery, imaging, lab, therapy, and Washington University physician subspecialty offices including the Departments of Orthopaedic Surgery, Internal Medicine, Ophthalmology, Surgery, and OB/GYN. The surgery suite includes two operating rooms and two minor procedure rooms. Imaging services will include plain film, CT, MRI, and screening mammography.

Role Purpose

The Radiology Technologist performs general imaging radiographic procedures to adult and/or pediatric patients for the purpose of diagnosis and/or treatment of anatomic and physiologic disorders

Responsibilities

  • Prepares patient and equipment for procedures. Informs patient on instructions and what the procedure entails with a high level of customer service and professionalism.
  • Performs radiographic imaging examinations independently, in on-call situations (if applicable), portable exams, and other tasks assigned by the department.
