OR Rad Technologist, PRN

Responsibilities

• Explains procedures to patients
• Operating imaging equipment accurately
• Ensures patient comfort and safety
• Validates patient identification before procedures
• Communicates with patients to obtain medical history
• Reviews and interprets physician orders
• Validates technical factors of imaging equipment
• Assumes responsibility for patient care during procedures
• Collimates, positions patients, and practices radiation safety
• Critiques images for image quality
• Participates in Quality Control/Quality Assurance programs
• Establishes cooperative relationships with department and facility staff
• Willingness to assist in other areas as needed
• Participates in standby call as needed

Requirements

• Registered and in good standing with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• BLS required
• Experience in OR operating C-Arm, extensive spine and ortho experience necessary
